Contact and corrections
What we can help with, what we cannot, and how to report something that is out of date.
Before you write
We cannot approve applications, issue gas cards, or tell you whether an agency has funds today. If you need fuel help right now, the fastest route is 2-1-1 — free, confidential, usually 24 hours a day, and answered by a person who can see which agencies near you currently have money.
What we genuinely want to hear about is anything on this site that is wrong or out of date. That is the fastest way we stay accurate.
Please do tell us about
- A programme that has closed or run out of funding
- A phone number or address that no longer works
- Opening hours that have changed
- An amount, income limit or rule that is no longer correct
- A programme we have missed, particularly a local one with published eligibility rules
- A scam using our name, or a site impersonating us
If you can, include the page, the specific detail, and where you found better information. Corrections with a source attached get acted on same-week.
We cannot help with
- Applying for assistance on your behalf
- Telling you whether you will be approved
- Finding out whether a specific agency has funds today
- Legal, financial, medical or benefits advice
- Appealing a decision made by an agency
Why there is no contact form
Deliberate. A website asking people in financial difficulty to type their name, address and income into a form under the heading “free gas” is indistinguishable from the lead-generation and scam pattern that targets this audience — and we would rather be slightly harder to reach than build something that looks like that. Here is what those scams look like.
A note on how to reach us
This site is a static publication with no server-side form handling, which is also why it loads quickly on a slow connection. Use the contact address published in your site footer or WHOIS record once your domain email is configured — replace this box with your preferred contact address before launch.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Can you help me apply for a gas card?
No — we are an information site, not an assistance programme, and no third party can submit a gas assistance application on your behalf. Call 2-1-1 and ask for gas vouchers by name; they will tell you which local agencies currently have funds, and you apply directly with them. Our options tool will tell you which programmes fit your circumstances first.
How do I report a programme that has closed?
Please tell us, including the page it appears on, the programme name, and anything you were told when you contacted them. Local fuel programmes open and close constantly as donations arrive and run out, so reader reports are genuinely the fastest way this site stays accurate.
Why can I not find a contact form on this site?
Because we deliberately collect no personal information. A form asking people in financial difficulty for their name, address and income under a “free gas” heading is the same pattern used by lead-generation sites and outright scams, and we would rather be marginally harder to reach than resemble one.
